Topic: Identify two companies—one that you believe pursues a lowest-cost strategy and another that pursues a differentiation strategy or similar. The presentation should contain a description of the organizations’ compensation, benefits, and HRIS systems and structures. The compensation, benefits and HRIS initiatives undertaken in the very recent past should be described where possible.  An analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of current compensation, benefits and HRIS in meeting the requirements of the organizations should be undertaken.

The literature should be used to support your analysis including discussion of current organizational issues and influences (eg. collective bargaining processes; unionization; globalization; Workplace Relations Act; individual contracts) emerging from the organization’s compensation, benefits and HRIS should be noted.  Include recommendations and suggestions for improvement of the organization’s compensation, benefits, and HRIS.
